News release about "Broadcast Live"
Here's the just-distributed news release about publication of my new book:
STEVE VOGEL MEMOIR
BROADCAST LIVE
COMING IN SEPTEMBER
A familiar name and voice brings decades of storytelling experience to a compelling new memoir, Broadcast Live: 71 true stories, including some I’d just as soon forget.
Steve Vogel’s new book percolates with candid, entertaining and deeply personal stories that trace his path from a small Illinois farm into and through a media ecosystem that transformed during his career.
Broadcast Live will be released in early September as both a hardcover and e-book.
Author of a New York Times true crime best-seller, Vogel spent 22 years at Bloomington, Ill., radio station WJBC as a news director and talk show host before transitioning to a senior communications role at one of America’s largest companies, and then back to the written word as a newspaper columnist.
His Reasonable Doubt, considered a true crime classic and a New York Times best-seller, chronicles one of the Midwest’s most controversial criminal cases. He is co-author of another true crime book, The Unforgiven.
Broadcast Live recounts memorable broadcast moments that played out live on the air and delves into entertaining tales and surprising revelations. It was a quarter-finalist in Publishers Weekly’s annual “BookLife” competition, saying it “balances the lighthearted with the profound.”
The book is independently published under the BookBaby imprint and available at and through booksellers everywhere.
