It’s “Independent Bookstore Day”—a perfect excuse to cheer for the community spirit, spontaneous discoveries, special events, personal service and instant delight that come when you walk into a locally-owned bookshop.
Where I am these days, that means Bobzbay in Bloomington, Ill. Okay, perhaps I’m influenced by this bookmark they distribute, recommending one of my books.
